iPod Touch/iPhone phone and Mental Case
Hello, brand new to these forums as you can probably tell. I had a couple of questions about how Mental Case works on the iPod Touch/iPhone. I'm using SRS to study Japanese, and have found it very very effective but have found that being tied down to a computer to study is not very convienient. Here is what I'm looking for.
-An iTunes like interface where I can separate my Japanese study into different 'playlists' if you will (for example Grammar, Kanji, Example sentences, etc.) as well as a 'library' function that would throw everthing into a big grab bag review.
-Synching with an iPod Touch or iPhone. I think this would be great to be able to review on my iPod T/P and synch that back up with my computer so if I did need to I could also study on my computer but not end up re-studying what I just did that day.
From what I have seen from the screen shots it seems like Mental Case already has the iTunes style layout that I want, but how about the iPod synching? If not is this sort of feature something that would possibly be included in future versions of Mental Case (in which case I could start using it now on my comp)?
Thanks for any information!

Features
All sounds good. I suppose for most people the ability for the iphone to sync with the lesson schedule and update it accordingly is most important. Happy coding!

It's great to hear that you
It's great to hear that you guys are working on it. It would be great to be able to take your lessons with you and possibly even be able to add stuff you run into during the day without having to carry a computer around with you everywhere.
Adding stuff on iPhone
It would indeed be great to have all that functionality. We are aiming to include all of that, but we may take it in a few steps. The first step might just allow you to study slideshows, but not add any new notes or integrate with the lesson. In a future upgrade we could gradually add the other functionality. It's actually quite complex to get the syncing right. Very few iPhone apps have to deal with that.
We are still not sure where the cut will be made. It is a tug-of-war between getting something out quickly, and adding all of the functionality we would like to.

iPod Touch/iPhone App
Yes, we are already developing an app for the touch devices. It is not a trivial undertaking though, so it may be some time before it comes out. In particular, the details of syncing data back and forth require a lot of thought. But we are working on it.
