Mental Case developers may want to take a look at the Oblique.app & how it operates to get an idea for a great way to interact with swiping Mental case cards by finger instead of using the default timer.
Oblique is not a memory app (Brian Eno creativity app), but install it & see the operation of it & I think it is ideal to give future Mental Case.app a option to swipe slides by finger & do some other finger action to see the reverse side.
You should still be able to find Oblique on Google Code Base.
Mental case could be a killer iphone app as it is set up to be the perfect flashcard as it is in the hand all day.
Sound & movie support would be great too (foreign language & procedures)

thanks for this. i just downloaded mental case and i was thinking about doing the same thing. I would strongly urge to get a iPhone/ipod export feature. I just makes perfect sense because many people don't actually study stuff at their computer. at least i don't. but i like the app regardless. will definitely keep watching for upgrades.

Just to be clear, you can already export your slides as images, drag them into iPhoto, and then sync them to an iPod. So you can take them with you, but it involves a little work.
The iPhone/iPod Touch app will of course be more capable. You will be able to create new notes, and sync them back. Syncing should be automatic via wifi. At least, that is the plan.

Mental Case on the iPhone
One thought I had and tried, was to export the case notes as JPG and then import the images into an iPhoto album that can be synced to the iPhone.
The problem is, the text ends up too small, and to read it on the iPhone the image must be zoomed which makes it awkward to effectively study.
Perhaps some control of the text size for the notes would help solve this problem.

We'll look into making a special big font theme as a quick fix for this issue.
We would also be interested in writing an app for iPod/iPhone. We'll have to see what Feb brings and what is possible.

That's a great idea Drew! I think the ability to put these slides on the iPhone would be a big plus for MC.
